Cellabs是一家位于悉尼的“精品”诊断公司，专门从事热带和传染病免疫诊断试剂盒的设计，开发和制造。Cellabs由免疫学家AM Smithyman博士于1985年成立，是澳大利亚历史悠久的私人生物技术公司。

 

到1990年，Cellabs已发布了针对贾第虫，隐孢子虫和衣原体的商业诊断测试产品；所有这些都在本地和上找到了现成的市场。该公司稳步扩大了其产品范围，目前销售20多种诊断套件。

 

该公司对诸如疟疾，利什曼病，象皮病和血吸虫病等被忽视的热带病特别感兴趣；对人口构成沉重负担的疾病。例如，疟疾每30*死一名儿童，在87个国家中很普遍，估计*有2.19亿例病例和435,000例死亡（《世界疟疾报告2018》）。
