Dengue virus is transmitted by mosquitoes, and more than one-third of the world’s population is at risk for infection. Because there are no vaccines available to prevent infection with dengue virus, early recognition and prompt supportive treatment can substantially lower the risk of medical complications and death.

Add 2 drops(About 60 to 80㎕) at serum, plasma or whole blood into the sample well.

Dengue IgM/IgG2

Add 10㎕ at serum, plasma or 20㎕ whole blood into the sample well.

G6PD deficiency is a genetic disorder, resulting in no or low G6PD activity. People with G6PD deficiency should not take primaquine, an antimalarial drug, and other drugs with high oxidative stress because it could cause serious side effects such as acute hemolysis.

Test Procedure

Gently hold the bottom part of the pipette and touch the blood drop with the open end of the capillary tube.(CAUTION : Do not cover the hole!)

Let the blood flow into the capillary tube.

Cover and press the hole to release the blood into the sample well. Add 2 drops of Assay Buffer (100㎕) immediay after to the buffer well.

Read result in 10 minutes.

 

Interpretation of the Test Result

NORMAL

A distinct purple color appears in the reading window within 10 min.

DEFICIENT

No color change or a very faint purple color appears in the reading window within 10 min(A borderline result is read as deficient.)

INVALID

No blood migration or incomplete blood migration in window.

CAH

Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) is a genetic disorder that limits adrenal glands’ ability to produce certain vital hormones, causing altered development of primary or secondary sex characteristics in affected infants and children, or adults. It can be fully treated when detected early through newborn screening with high sensitive molecular diagnostic tests.

HPV

HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection. Certain high-risk types can cause cancers of the cervix, vagina, vulva, penis and anus. More than 100 viral types of HPV have been identified, and over 30 types of these are associated with sexually transmitted infections. Because 40% of HPV infections are mixed infections, the accurate identification of high-risk HPV genotypes in mixed infections is important for defining a woman’s risk for progression to cervical cancer.

CareStart™ HPV diagnostic tests come in 2 different types of testing: genotyping and screening. The genotyping kit accuray identifies the type of virus infection through the DNA sequence analysis and the screening kit primarily identifies the infections of high risk HPV infection, low-risk HPV, or non-infection.
